Who I am
The athlete
I've spent most of my life inside sport. National-level competition taught me early what most people learn late: the body doesn't respond to motivation — it responds to structure. I went on to earn a degree in Exercise Science and Coaching, and spent years working alongside national and Olympic-level athletes.
The coach
Over the last 20+ years I've coached more than 30,000 one-on-one sessions. A client who came back from back surgery and a quadruple hernia repair. A 54-year-old lifelong athlete. A triathlete chasing one more podium. Busy professionals whose bodies stopped cooperating somewhere in their 40s.
Different bodies, same pattern: after 40, generic programs stop working — and start hurting. That's the problem I've spent two decades learning to solve.
The turn
Now I'm in my 40s myself, and a father. My own goals have changed. I'm no longer training to peak for a season — I'm training to stay in the strongest body possible, for as long as possible.
Everything I hand to a client, I run on myself first — the programming, the recovery work, the wearable data. If it doesn't survive my own week, it doesn't reach yours.
How I work
My order of operations never changes: safety first, then movement quality, then consistency, then recovery — and progressive overload only when it's earned. I read your sleep, stress, and readiness before deciding how hard we push. Some days we go heavy. Some days the smartest thing in the gym is backing off. Knowing the difference is the job.
If that sounds like the coaching you've been looking for — every new client starts the same way.
